I have just had my Canon EOS 100D repaired @ Thomas Camera Services. The job was done excellently and all communication with members of staff, be it via Email or telephone were warmly & efficiently conducted.My camera was purchased @ Jessops where I also bought the 'Domestic & General' insurance cover. I will certainly use these services for any future repair need that may arise.
I don't feel like five stars is enough, and that is equally applicable to Canon themselves.I have a Canon Powershot S100, and it developed a lens error. I looked into this online and it was a known fault with certain serial numbers, of which my camera fell into. The camera is close to 3 years old, but a brilliant camera to take with you when a DSLR is too bulky so I felt worth looking at a repair.I phoned Thomas Camera Services and after they confirmed the serial was affected by the recall I dropped the camera into them. Having looked at what causes the fault I expected a quick repair to reconnect the lens, but was pleasantly surprised that instead the lens assembly would be changed. I was told it was up to a 10 day turn around, but the camera was dropped off on a Thursday and I had a call to say it was ready the next Tuesday. I honestly had to check to the serial number to confirm it was my camera, it was fixed, serviced and cleaned to the point it looked brand new and all under a recall at no cost.Both Thomas Camera Services and Canon have undoubtedly shown what customer service is about, both people I spoke to in the shop were knowledgeable and couldn't have been more helpful.
Superb service.Everyone was really helpful on the phone.I had the Jessops / D&G 3 year coverage which meant that when I experienced a problem with my Canon 600D, I just called up and then within 10 minutes it had been booked in and return postage labels sent to me.Super quick turnaround on the repair to, for which I am super grateful. Highly recommended!
